I have no clue how to teach a labradoodle (or any dog) how to swim! I only know to hold her belly. HELP!!!!!

Labs are known to love the water. Not sure how poodles feel about it.
Take it to a good swimming lake and get out in the water yourself, just have your dog walking with you, not over its head and let this be something he enjoys. Play with him, if he likes to play fetch, take a tennis ball and get to throwing, not too far, as they can get worn out.
Yes, all dogs can instinctually swim, but some hate the water. Make it fun play time. Holding your dog by the belly in the water may hinder his natural swimming ability and scare him. So I would not recomend that.

Last year in new york city, they had a large fireworks display and i think that they sang in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Small groups gather sometimes when the fireworks go off so you could try that.

You could always try to make a group or put one together by asking people in your apartment complex or something. Good luck

If you are looking to buy a puppy from a breeder, then look for a Porteguese Water Dog or a Curly Coated Retriever. Both are pretty similar to the Labrador/Poodle mixed breed, but have breed standards so that you’ll get a healthy dog with known attributes.
